    NEW YORK (Aug. 27, 2010): In recognition of his lifetime contributions to the prevention sciences, the Society for Prevention Research has awarded Dr. Gilbert J. Botvin, chief of the Division of Prevention and Health Behavior at Weill Cornell Medical College, its prestigious Presidential Award. Dr. Botvin is a strong promoter of evidence-based medicine.

    NEW YORK (Sept. 9, 2010): Scientists at Weill Cornell Medical College, led by Dr. Tim Ryan, have developed a way to help neurons expand their signaling capability. The findings may lead to new drugs for treatment of of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease.
